Qualcomm released more information about Snapdragon 835

At the event today in Las Vegas at CES 2017, Qualcomm was expected to take off the curtains from all the information about the Snapragon 835. The new flagship processor from Qualcomm is a Octa core unit out of which 4 units are performance cores which can be clocked at the maximum of 2.45 GHz while the 4 power-saver units can be clocked at maximum of 1.95GHz.

The new chip is built on the Samsung’s 10nm platform and that gives the processor a 27% performance boost and 40% energy efficiency. The chip being a smaller one, also alows more room for batteries and other features to be inside the phone. The Snapdragon 835 comes with Quick Charge 4.0 which allows us to charge the handset to 0 % – 50 % in just 15 mins, while with just 5 Min of charge we get 5 hrs of talk time.

The SoC supports a single sensor up to 32 MP while if you need two sensors they can be of up-to 16 MP each, 4K playback is supported at 60 fps while capturing is supported at 30 fps. The chipset will also work with Google’s Daydream VR platform.
